The most engaging 3D learning, training and education infrastructure is now available to enterprise and educators, thanks to 3D technology platform provider, ExitReality.

ExitReality has today announced compatibility with online Learning Management Systems, Moodle and Blackboard.

“The student is immediately teleported to a large 200-seat auditorium, where other student avatars sit in attendance from all over the world.  The auditorium streams live video featuring a lecturer who presents from her office in Los Angeles.  The student listens to the whole seminar from his student digs in Singapore.    Welcome to the world of 3D education and the 3D internet.

“Universities can now deliver their entire campus from their website, providing immersive 3D education outcomes using existing learning management systems.     The greatest benefits are that firstly there are no corporate firewall issues to contend with. Secondly, ExitReality-powered virtual worlds are hosted and controlled on the university’s own servers so that the utmost security is maintained and peace of mind is ensured.”

ExitReality is not only limited to a 3D web experience, it also includes a 3D chat platform that allows you to chat with anyone across the 3D web.

‘Chat’ is a feature that is integrated into the ExitReality user interface that allows you to communicate with other people that are in the same 3D webpage as you. When you convert a website into 3D, you will be able to see others that are currently at the same destination.
Chatting in ExitReality allows you to meet other people with similar interests, strike up conversations, make contacts and travel across and meet other interesting people in 3D. You can arrange regular meetings with your friends to meet and chat on a webpage in 3D or strike up conversations with avatars that you meet along the way.
The following video is an example of how the 3D chat function works within ExitReality.

In addition to talking to other users you can interact in other ways by right-clicking on another user’s icon in the chat window, and selecting an option from the drop-down menu. Here are some instructions to get you started:

• Select the ‘Beam To’ option to instantly teleport over to where that user is located in the 3D space. You can also double-click on a user’s Icon to ‘beam’ to them.
• Select the ‘Whisper’ option to send private messages to other people
• Select the ‘Send Chat Macro’ option to ‘wave’, ‘agree with’, ‘dislike’ or ‘smile’ at another user. These chat macros will be published in the chat window and also cause you avatar to animate.
• If a user is being annoying, you can ignore them with the ‘Ignore’ option

Chatting is an easy and fun way of meeting people with similar interests and the 3D experience is only possible through ExitReality. It is a free download and works on any website across the entire web.

If you have a social network page such as Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, or Friendster in 3D, you can find your friends and visit them wherever they are on the 3D Web.

With ExitReality, you can see what virtual world or 3D web page your ‘Buddies’ are at and visit them by clicking on the URL in the Buddies List.

Invite your friends to become Buddies. When they confirm you as a Buddy, you will be able to locate and hang out as avatars at any 3D web page.

It is easy and it’s a great way to have fun meeting, searching and exploring websites and worlds on the 3D web.

Below you will see how simple it is to find a friend in the 3D web using the Buddy list. Move from your own 3D Facebook apartment to finding a Buddy at their 3D MySpace Apartment.

Once you have met with your friend at a 3D world or web page, use the chat function to communicate. The multiuser chat function is located in the ExitReality tool bar at the top of the screen.

Don’t forget to decorate your 3D webspace with 3D objects and themes that can be found in the web 3D search engine. The Search Engine is part of the ExitReality Dashboard.

Now that every web page is available in 3D, take decorating your 3D webspace to the next level.

Previously we discussed how you can customize your own 3D website as well as how you can use the 3D Search to find 3D objects, places and themes.

Not only can you change, backgrounds such as the sky, whole themes can be dropped into your webspace. Change your 3D website to how you want it to look.

Now you can add your favorite photos to your 3D social network page or 3D website.

Simply use the 3D web search engine in the ExitReality Dashboard or at www.ExitReality.com to find the 3D picture frame you want to display your photo.

Copy the link below into the search box, press search and drag the resultant image into your 3D web space.

Now that you have the 3D picture frame object in your space, the edit features allow you to add the url where your photo resides to the frame.

Move, rotate or resize the picture frame to suit your style. The choice is yours. Once you are done, remember to save your addition.

This demonstration worked in a 3D MySpace apartment, it can also work on any web page on the internet that you control.

Remember to invite your friends to chat and see your newly updated apartment through the ExitReality 3D multi user chat.

Here we finish our official tour of the plaza - Feel free (and it is free, totally free) to stay and chat to other users, or you could go to your own apartment or place (Yes you do already have one - it’s a decorated 3D version of your social network profile, or Website page) where you can add a whole new look … or visit any of the thousands of 3D worlds.

Then you can decorate with all sorts of things - furniture, widgets, games, pictures - in fact, anything from a space station to falling snow. You can even take home the rideable mechanical bull from the 3D Carl’s Jr. or Hardee’s restaurant.

This is all done easily. Just drag and drop the things you like into your 3D space and click on the ’save’ button on the left. Enter your MySpace details then …
