Customize your 3D Webpage with ExitReality
Written by admin on September 19, 2008 – 4:00 am -ExitReality – The Entire web is now in 3D, even your own website! And it’s absolutely free. Download the Internet plug-in today at www.ExitReality.com and convert your webpage to 3D.
Now your webpage is in 3D, you can customize your 3D space with objects and themes from the ExitReality search engine, located in the Dashboard.
Customizing your 3D website is easy! Simply choose a theme to change from the current environment to a desert, garden or rooftop. The choice is yours.
You can also customize the sky as a radiant sunset or looming mountains. Lastly, add objects to your site. Interactive 3D objects such as the “Particle Snow” snow globe can be used to add falling snow to your virtual world. These can all be found in the ExitReality Search engine and easily drag-and-dropped into the 3D scene, no coding required.
After you have customized your 3D website, open up the Edit menu and click save. You will be given a small html button to place on your site, to indicate you are the website owner.
Once you have done that, your changes are saved and anyone visiting your site can view your newly customized 3D webspace by clicking on the html button.

Fantastic - had a good time playing around with all the options to change backgrounds, avatars and so on
Slowed down a little - must be all the traffic! (www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/exitreality.com)
Look forward to seeing how it goes when myspace and facebook users start to realise the potential to customise their sites…!

Accepting that it is a Beta - this is fantastic - it would be better if a toolbar or the ExitReality button actually appeared on my IE.
Until we start seeing tutorials on how to create own avatars or furniture - even simple web pages - little benefit other than curiosity factor but the possibilities are great.

Hi Tarak
Thanks for your feedback and we understand that there is need to educate ExitReality users on how to decorate, navigate the 3D web, how to 3D chat, search for 3D objects etc.
We have taken your feedback and have decided to post regular ‘how to’ articles on this blog.
We hope that these articles will be helpful to you and all other ExitReality users in the future.
Thank you,
ExitReality Team

I am really enjoying the beta to exit reality. I am a long time creator in the virtual world Second Life. I have been actively involved in SL since August 15th 2008. I am always looking for new playgrounds to be creative in.
I have not seen another virtual world interface that had serious potential to be a player in the metaverse till I discovered ER.
Will you make it possible to become creators of our own content? It would be much more advantageous to create an environment based on our webpages than snapping in one of a few hundred variations, even if we can mix and match.
How can I get involved in the process of creation and full costomization in Exit Reality?
Thank You,
Tuna Oddfellow

Will Exit Reality be available for Macs soon?
October 5th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
Hi Aaron, Mac users can operate it by using Bootcamp or Parallels. ExitReality will leverage the hardware acceleration of the Mac.
Cheers
